Louisville, KY — July 27, 2023, a man was fatally injured as the result of a semi-truck accident at around 1:30 a.m. along Greenbelt Highway.
Metro Police officials released preliminary information about the crash which they say happened at the intersection of Greenbelt Highway and Logistics Drive.

According to investigators, a man, unidentified at this time, was in a vehicle which was going southbound along Greenbelt. At Logistics Drive, it appears a semi-truck making a left turn to go northbound entered the path of the southbound vehicle, causing it to crash beneath the trailer the truck was hauling.
As a result of the collision, the driver of the car sustained fatal injuries. There were no other injuries. Unconfirmed details in current reports suggest the victim may have been going at “a high rate of speed,” however online images, if accurate, show that traffic on Greenbelt has the right-of-way. It’s unclear if authorities are considering any charges at this time.
