Austin, TX — July 14, 2023, one person was killed and one was injured following a car accident at around 2:30 a.m. along Highway 45.
According to officials with the Texas Department of Public Safety, the incident took place near the intersection of Highway 45 and Turnerville Road.
Right now, exact circumstances surrounding the accident are unclear. Details suggest that a pickup and another vehicle were going northbound along the highway when, for reasons unclear, the two vehicles collided.
As a result of the collision, one person from the second vehicle succumbed to fatal injuries. The driver of the pickup had to be flown to a hospital. Authorities have not identified either person involved in the wreck. They also have not yet confirmed the cause of the crash. Investigations are ongoing.
