Milam County, TX — April 10, 2023, Fabian Rodriguez was fatally injured as the result of a single-vehicle accident along FM 486.
Investigators said that the incident happened at around 3:45 a.m. about 2 miles outside of town. Details suggest that 22-year-old Fabian Rodriguez was in a Chevy pickup traveling along FM 486. Due to events not currently clear, the vehicle ran off-road and overturned. Rodriguez was killed after being ejected.

Beyond the few details mentioned above, authorities haven’t said much else so far. That’s not all that unusual given how soon after the crash it is right now. But my concern with single vehicle wrecks is always whether or not authorities are giving them the attention they deserve. Despite all kinds of possible factors that can cause a crash like this (mechanical issues, tire blowouts, medical conditions, road hazards, hit-and-runs, etc.), many are quick to assume the driver did something wrong. That’s possible, of course, but a grieving family at least deserves to know they’re getting all the facts.
