According to these reports, 63-year-old Ever Mae Banks was on foot crossing Gregg Street from the east side to the west side when the accident took place. An allegedly white vehicle of unknown make or model was southbound on Gregg Street when, for unknown reasons, it struck Banks as she was attempting to cross the street.

Houston, TX — December 3, 2023, a woman was killed in a hit-and-run car accident that took place just after 5:45 in the morning along Orange Street.
According to reports, the accident took place in the vicinity of the Orange Street and Grove Street intersection.
The cause of the accident is unclear. The person(s) in the vehicle which collided with the victim did not stop to render aid of any kind; they fled the scene of the accident. The victim was killed as a result of injuries sustained in the collision.
