Harris County, TX — October 1, 2024, Eva Guerrero was injured as the result of a car accident at around 2:00 p.m. along Richey Road.

Initial details released by authorities say that the accident happened in the area of Richey Road and Aldine Westfield Road, near the George Bush International Airport.

According to officials, 48-year-old Eva Maria Guerrero was in a Ford Fusion going northbound on Aldine Westfield. While crossing Richey Road, authorities say there was a Dodge Ram 1500 going eastbound along the westbound lanes of Richey. The pickup crossed into the intersection, crashing into a southbound Acura, then Guerrero’s vehicle. Guerrero’s vehicle then hit a Chevy Equinox on westbound Richey.

Due to the collision, Eva Guerrero reportedly had serious injuries. There were no other confirmed injuries. While the factors surrounding the crash are unclear right now, authorities mentioned looking into alcohol as a possibility.

Looking at these details, it’s no surprise authorities mentioned the possibility of alcohol. When someone gets onto the wrong side of a divided roadway, it’s usually telltale sign of intoxication. Even in the middle of the afternoon, that’s a possibility that would be irresponsible to ignore. It could even lead to the discovery that the driver had been unlawfully over-served by a bar or some other establishment. If they gave the driver so much they couldn’t tell which way was which, it’s very likely that alcohol provider also violated the law and could be responsible for contributing to the crash.
