Harris County, TX — February 3, 2024, Ethan Scott Hunter was injured as the result of a single-vehicle accident at 5:00 p.m. on the Katy Freeway.
Authorities said in their statements that the crash happened along westbound lanes of I-10 in the area of Greenhouse Road.

According to officials, 24-year-old Ethan Scott Hunter and a 24-year-old woman were in a Ford Mustang going westbound along the interstate. That vehicle apparently lost control, went off-road, and crashed into a tree. Due to the collision, it appears Hunter had serious injuries while his passenger had no reported injuries.
Authorities say that Hunter and another witness mentioned another vehicle causing the Mustang to lose control. Another witness apparently did not mention seeing any other vehicle. Authorities haven’t confirmed if they think another vehicle was involved or not.

It can be frustrating when statements from authorities are so chaotic and inconclusive. Someone is saying one thing, someone else another, and there isn’t enough information available to clear up the confusion. Is there any more information out there that could help shed light on what really happened here? Especially if this was a hit-and-run, one has to wonder why the crash didn’t get more attention than it seems to have.
