Harris County, TX — July 31, 2024, Erik Macedo was injured following a car accident just before 3:45 p.m. along Addicks Clodine Road.
According to authorities, 19-year-old Erik Macedo was traveling in a southbound Nissan Maxima on Addicks Clodine Road at the Wingdale Drive intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a northbound Toyota Corolla occupied by a 77-year-old woman on Addicks Clodine Road attempted a left turn to head west on Wingdale Drive at an apparently unsafe time, failing to yield the right of way to oncoming traffic. This resulted in a collision between the front-end of the Corolla and the left side of the the Maxima. The Corolla allegedly left the scene, but returned before the arrival of emergency personnel.
Macedo suffered reportedly serious injuries as a result of the wreck; he was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. The woman from the Corolla reportedly sustained minor injuries, as well. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
