Dallas, TX — May 31, 2024, Eric Charles and one other person were injured in a car accident at approximately 1:00 p.m. along the LBJ service road.
According to authorities, 39-year-old Eric Charles was traveling in a northbound Lincoln on North Central Expressway, U.S. 75, at the intersection of the Lyndon B Johnson Freeway westbound service road when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a westbound Dodge Charger occupied by a 45-year-old man on the service road neglected to stop for the red light indicated by the traffic signal, entering the intersection at an apparently unsafe time. This resulted in a collision between the front-left side of the Charger and the front-right of the northbound Lincoln.
Charles sustained reportedly severe injuries as a result of the wreck. The man from the Charger suffered minor injuries, as well, according to reports. They were each transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment.
Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
