Dallas County, TX — April 15, 2024, Elizabeth Hernandez was injured in a car accident at approximately 5:15 a.m. along State Highway 183.
According to authorities, a Ford Fusion was traveling eastbound on S.H. 183 in the vicinity west of Walton Walker Boulevard when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that debris was scattered in the roadway that had allegedly fallen from an unknown vehicle. The Ford Fusion reportedly veered to the left in an attempt to avoid hitting the fallen debris. However, this led to a collision with the back-right corner of a Toyota Rav4 occupied by 58-year-old Elizabeth Hernandez. The collision caused the Rav4 to overturn, coming to a stop resting on its left side.
Hernandez suffered reportedly severe injuries as a result of the wreck; she was transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
