San Patricio County, TX — July 7, 2024, Edwardo Lazcano was injured following a car accident at around 4:30 a.m. along Railroad Avenue.
Initial details about the crash from authorities say that the accident happened in the area of Railroad Avenue and County Road 2763, just southeast of Sinton.
According to officials, 44-year-old Edwardo Lazcano was in a vehicle going eastbound along Railroad Avenue. For reasons which aren’t clear right now, the vehicle Lazcano was driving went through the intersection with CR 2763 and crashed into structures off the side of the road. As a result, Lazcano sustained serious injuries. It’s unclear if anyone else was involved in the accident.

With a crash like this, one would expect to see more concrete information about what happened. It often surprises people, though, when they learn how often authorities don’t really take someone’s crash seriously. Sometimes, they just move on to other jobs without really considering all the facts. Were there mechanical issues? Was there missing signage or lighting at the intersection? Was another driver involved who left the scene? People seriously hurt in an accident aren’t always able to tell their side of the story, which is what makes getting clear evidence so important in these situations. Unless authorities have been more thorough behind the scenes here, there may still be more to the story.
