Harris County, TX — October 3, 2024, Edward George III was injured in a pedestrian versus hit-and-run car accident just before 12:15 a.m. along State Highway 6.
According to authorities, 47-year-old Edward George Jr. was on foot on S.H. 6 in the vicinity south of Westpark Drive when the accident took place.

The cause of the accident remains unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, George was struck by a southbound Toyota Camry occupied by a 25-year-old man. The Camry reportedly fled the scene, the man inside failing to stop and render aid of any sort to the victim. George suffered reportedly serious injuries as a result of the collision; he was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. Authorities state that the offending vehicle and its driver were later located. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time.
