Ellis County, TX — May 5, 2024, Edith Faz and one other person were injured following a motorcycle versus car accident at about 3:15 p.m. along F.M. 813.
According to authorities, 31-year-old Edith Faz was traveling on a southeast bound Harley-Davidson motorcycle on Farm to Market 813 at the Gibson Road intersection when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a northeast bound Chevrolet Equinox occupied by an 81-year-old woman on F.M. 813 failed to safely maintain its lane of travel. It reportedly veered left of center, entering the oncoming lane of traffic; this resulted in a collision between the front-end of the motorcycle and the front-right of the Chevy.
Faz suffered reportedly serious injuries as a result of the wreck. The woman from the passenger vehicle sustained minor injuries, as well, according to reports. They were each transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
