Port Arthur, TX — July 9, 2023, a pedestrian was injured by an alleged drunk driver around 1:52 a.m. on Ho Mills Blvd. in Port Arthur.
Authorities report the victim was walking southwest on Ho Mills Blvd. and approaching the intersection with Beamount Blvd. when he was allegedly struck by a drunk driver traveling southwest in a Land Rover Discovery. The Land Rover driver reportedly told authorities he couldn’t see the pedestrian due to no street lights and the pedestrian’s dark clothing.
The victim was purportedly transported to a medical center with incapacitating injuries.
Police recommended charging the Land Rover driver with intoxication assault.
