Crawford County, IA — December 11, 2023, Douglas Hook was killed in a truck accident just before 4:45 in the evening along Highway 141.
According to reports, 65-year-old Douglas Hook was traveling in a westbound 18-wheeler on Highway 141 at the intersection of Highway 59 when the accident took place.
For unknown reasons, a second 18-wheeler which ha been traveling northbound on Highway 59 entered the intersection at the same time. Hook was declared deceased at the scene of the accident due to injuries incurred as a result of the collision. There were no other injuries reported.
The accident is under investigation by local authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time were not reported on. There are not currently any additional details available pertaining to this incident.
