McLennan County, TX — February 17, 2024, Donnie Miller was injured as the result of an 18-wheeler accident at around 12:45 a.m. along Highway 317.
Authorities said in preliminary statements that the accident happened at the intersection of Highway 317 and Country Club Road.
According to officials, 40-year-old Donnie Lee Miller was in a GMC Terrain going southbound on the highway. At Country Club Road, authorities say that an 18-wheeler facing westbound was backing without safety in an attempt to make a u-turn. This put the trailer across southbound lanes of the highway, and Miller’s vehicle crashed into it.
As a result of the collision, Miller sustained injuries described as serious. There were no other reported injuries. Authorities say they recommended citing the truck driver, but additional details can’t be confirmed at this time.
