Grayson County, TX — February 26, 2024, Donald Taylor and two others were injured in a car accident shortly before 4:30 p.m. along U.S. 75.

According to authorities, 71-year-old Donald Taylor was traveling in a southbound Ford Escape SUV preparing to take the onramp onto U.S. Highway 75 in the vicinity north of S.H. 91 when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that a southbound Chevrolet Equinox occupied by a 21-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman was traveling at allegedly high speeds behind the Escape. Reports state that, for as yet unknown reasons, the Equinox failed to properly control its speed, leading to a rear-end collision with the Escape.

Taylor and the female passenger from the Equinox both incurred suspected severe injuries, while the man from the Equinox sustained apparently moderate injuries. Both of the male victims refused transport from EMS for treatment. However, the woman was taken to a local medical facility in order to receive proper care.

Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
