Brownsville, TX — January 31, 2025, Diego Garza was killed as the result of a hit-and-run accident that happened around 12:55 a.m. along F.M. 511.
Authorities say that the accident happened on the northeast side of town near the intersection of F.M. 511 and Charmaine Lane.
It appears that 22-year-old Diego Sebastian Garza was on a Kawasaki motorcycle going northbound. The motorcycle and an unknown vehicle also going northbound somehow collided. Diego Garza was killed as a result of the collision.
It appears that the other vehicle involved left the scene of the accident. It’s unclear if authorities have since come up with any identifying information.

If there was indeed a vehicle involved here that left the scene, hopefully authorities will continue to release information to the public. Often, someone is able to connect the dots and come forward with new details that can help authorities locate the runaway driver.
Additionally, have authorities also looked at any nearby businesses or residences? These days, a lot more people have security cameras, and one may have capture the accident or the moments before or after. Unfortunately, a lot of accidents like this are brushed aside as a low priority. But hopefully authorities here understand there’s a family in need of answers, and they’ll continue taking steps to see they get much needed closure.
