Brownsville, TX — May 6, 2023, Deyanira Jeanneth Reyes and another driver were injured following a car accident at around noon on Expressway 77.
According to officials, the incident took place along the U.S. 77 frontage road at the intersection of East 13th Street.
Investigators said that 51-year-old Deyanira Jeanneth Reyes was in a Nissan Pathfinder that was going eastbound along the frontage road. A Honda CR-V was going northbound. At the intersection, police say they believe that the northbound Honda ran a red light, causing it to crash into Reyes’s vehicle.
As a result of the collision, Reyes was said to have incapacitating injuries. The driver of the Honda, an unidentified Harlingen man, reportedly had non-incapacitating injuries. At this time, no further information about the crash is available.
