Harris County, TX — April 19, 2024, Dewayne Buggs was injured following a motorcycle versus car accident at approximately 3:00 p.m. along Homestead Road.
According to authorities, 54-year-old Dewayne Buggs was traveling on a northbound Harley-Davidson motorcycle along Homestead Road at the Moss Oaks Drive intersection when the accident occurred.

Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a westbound Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck on Moss Oaks Drive attempted a left turn onto southbound Homestead Road at an apparently unsafe time, failing to yield the right of way at a stop sign. This resulted in a collision between the front-end of the motorcycle and the front-left side of the pickup truck. The wreck caused Buggs to be ejected from the motorcycle, landing on the windshield of the pickup truck before being thrown to the ground.
Buggs suffered reportedly severe injuries as a result of the crash. He was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. His injuries were not described as life-threatening. No other injuries have been reported.
