How Did This Accident Occur?
When one vehicle rear-ends another trying to turn left, it’s easy to blame driver error or inattention, but I’ve been dealing with vehicle accidents long enough to know there are other possibilities.
Was the Chrysler subject to any recalls for manufacturing defects? Did a repair shop mess up on its brakes or some other systems? Did the Jeep have working brake lights and turn signals? I’ve seen these scenarios during my career, so I’ve learned the importance of not jumping to conclusions.
The proper time reach conclusions is when authorities or independent investigators are done scrutinizing witness statements, electronic data and evidence from the scene. Then we can base conclusions on facts, not speculation.
