Houston, TX — August 10, 2024, a pedestrian was killed and six others people were injured in a car accident just after 12:00 midnight on I.H. 10.
According to authorities, a male pedestrian was in between two of the active lanes of I.H. 10, East Freeway, in the vicinity of Federal Road when the accident took place.
The pedestrian was reportedly struck by a motor vehicle occupied by one woman. She came to a stop immediately after the impact. However, this lead to a rear-end collision between her car and another that had been traveling along the interstate—this one occupied by five people.
The pedestrian suffered fatal injuries due to the wreck. The other six people involved sustained injuries of unknown severity, though they were not described to have been serious. They were each transported to local medical facilities in order to receive necessary treatment. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
