Harris County, TX — February 18, 2026, Deputy Ricky Zaragoza was killed as the result of a car accident at around 2:28 a.m. along Aldine Westfield Road.
Investigators said in preliminary statements that the accident happened in the area of the Aldine Westfield Road and Ciderwood Drive intersection in north Houston.
According to officials, 33-year-old Deputy Ricky Zaragoza was in a vehicle going along Aldine Westfield at the time. In a series of events not clear right now, the vehicle crashed. Deputy Ricky Zaragoza was killed as a result.
There were no other reported injuries. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
