Harris County, TX — July 2, 2023, one person was killed as the result of a two car accident at around 2:30 a.m. along Airline Drive.
Preliminary statements from officials indicate that the crash happened at the Airline Drive and Gulf Bank Road intersection in north Houston near Aldine.
According to Harris County officials, the incident happened as a sedan and a pickup truck were both crossing through the intersection. Details suggest that one of the drivers may have run a red light, resulting in the two vehicles colliding. The pickup reportedly continued some distance before hitting a pole and catching fire.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the pickup sustained fatal injuries. There were no other confirmed injuries. Right now, the victim has yet to be identified. Authorities also have not confirmed a particular cause for the accident. No further information is available at this time.
