Ward County, TX — June 13, 2023, Dekota Mason Scott was killed following a semi-truck accident at 5:35 a.m. along Farm-to-Market 1233.
Preliminary details about the crash say that it happened along F.M. 1233 southwest of the town of Monahans.
According to statements from officials, 18-year-old Dekota Mason Scott of Crane was in a vehicle that was going westbound along the roadway. Due to events which are not clear right now, Scott’s vehicle and an oncoming semi-truck crossed paths, then collided.
As a result of the collision, Scott sustained fatal injuries. The truck driver did not have any reported injuries. Authorities did not describe road or weather conditions at the time of the crash, they did not mention what factors they’re looking into, and they have yet to give an official cause for the crash. Investigations are ongoing.
