San Antonio, TX — July 7, 2023, DeChanda Harris was killed and four were injured following a car accident at around 7:25 p.m. along Nakoma Drive.
Details released by authorities indicate that the crash happened in the area of the East Nakoma Drive and East Coker Loop intersection.
According to officials, 35-year-old Dechanda Harris was in a Mitsubishi Galant traveling northwest along Nakoma. While rounding a curve, it appears an oncoming pickup crossed left of center, crashing into the Mistubishi.
As a result of the collision, Harris sustained injuries which proved to be fatal. Four people in the other vehicle reportedly had injuries. Police allege that driver was going at a high rate of speed prior to the accident, and there were recommendations for charges of manslaughter and aggravated assault. There are no further details at this time.
