Wise County, TX — February 4, 2025, a Decatur teen was injured as the result of a car accident at around 10:05 p.m. along Highway 114.
According to initial details about the accident, it happened northwest of Rhome near Old Base Road.
Investigators said that an 18-year-old Decatur man was in a Ford F-250 going northbound. In a series of events unclear, the vehicle ended up crashing into a traffic barrier. As a result, the teen driver sustained serious injuries.
There did not appear to be anyone else involved in the accident. No further details are available at this time.

Were there vehicle defects? Did a tire blow out? Were there issues with the road itself? Was there another reckless driver who left the scene? Likely or not, a proper investigation should cover all possible factors rather than jumping to conclusions without facts to support them.
