When people hear about crashes like this one, it’s easy for them to assume they are a result of simple driver error. However, in my experience, accidents involving large trucks often require thorough investigations to understand all contributing factors.

In this incident, the circumstances leading to the crash are still under investigation. It is essential to determine why the collision between the side of the van and the side of the 18-wheeler occurred. Factors such as mechanical failure, driver fatigue, or even weather conditions should be considered. Each of these elements can play a significant role in accidents involving large trucks.

The severity of the accident is evident in the aftermath where the van veered into the center median and overturned multiple times, eventually stopping in the northbound lanes. This highlights the potential for catastrophic outcomes when large vehicles are involved in collisions. Investigators will need to examine the speed of both vehicles, the actions of the drivers before the crash, and any possible distractions or impairments.

Additionally, the trucking company responsible for the 18-wheeler may share in the responsibility for the accident. If the company failed to enforce safety protocols, properly train their drivers, or ensure that their vehicles were in good working order, they could be held accountable for their role in the crash.

Ultimately, the goal is to uncover the truth and provide answers to those affected by the crash. Even if it requires conducting an independent investigation to obtain vital evidence, it is crucial to consider every factor to ensure that those impacted by the crash receive the clarity and closure they deserve.
