Harris County, TX — July 8, 2024, David Mosqueda Gonzalez was injured as the result of a car accident at around 11:11 p.m. along Dowdell Road.
Authorities said in preliminary statements that the accident happened in the area of Dowdell Road and Moss Willow Lane.
According to officials, 19-year-old David Mosqueda Gonzalez was in a Chevy Suburban traveling eastbound along Dowdell Road. The vehicle exited the roadway, went through the ditch, and crashed into a tree.
As a result of the crash, David Mosqueda Gonzalez was seriously injured. There did not appear to be anyone else involved in the accident. Investigations are ongoing.

After any single-vehicle wreck, I talk about the importance of making sure authorities are investigating all angles of possibility. Mechanical issues, vehicle defects, tire failure, roadway issues, etc. Authorities are capable of investigating such factors, but people are sometimes less charitable to young, inexperienced drivers. They may instead just jump to conclusions and move on without really looking into the facts. It’s important that if people feel like investigators aren’t giving details the attention they deserve that the investigation makes its way into the hands of more thorough, experienced hands. Otherwise, something important may slip through the cracks.
