Dallas, TX — April 14, 2024, David Gonzalez, Lucero Rocha, and one other person were injured in a car accident just after 7:30 p.m. along Main Street.

According to authorities, 31-year-old David Gonzalez, 32-year-old Lucero Rocha, and a baby girl were traveling in a northeast bound Ford Expedition SUV on Main Street at the Peak Street intersection when the accident took place.

The Expedition reportedly had the green light as it entered the intersection. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a northwest bound Chrysler occupied by a 48-year-old man on Peak Street failed to stop at the red light indicated by the traffic signal, entering the intersection at an apparently unsafe time. This resulted in a T-bone collision between the right side of the Expedition and the front-end of the Chrysler.

Rocha suffered reportedly severe injuries as a result of the wreck, as did the man from the Chrysler. Gonzalez sustained apparently moderate injuries, as well, and the baby girl may have received minor injuries. They were each transported to local medical facilities by emergency medical services in order to receive necessary treatment.

Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
