Denton County, TX — March 10, 2023, David Erwin was fatally injured in a collision with a truck around 2:50 p.m. on Green Valley Circle in Denton County.
Sources report Mr. Erwin’s motorcycle had just crested a small hill while traveling south on Green Valley Circle when a Ford Maverick allegedly made a right-hand turn from Warschun Rd. to also travel south. Investigators believe the victim immediately applied his brakes in an attempt to avoid a collision, but ultimately rear-ended the pickup truck. The impact allegedly forced the motorcycle to overturn and slide across the ground.
David Erwin was reportedly able to leave the scene on foot but was later taken by ambulance to Medical City Denton on March 12, 2023. Mr. Erwin’s injuries ultimately proved to be fatal and he passed on March 22, 2023.
Authorities have not released the cause of the crash at this time.
