Martin County, NC — May 1, 2023, David Barocio was killed in a single-vehicle truck accident in the afternoon on Hwy. 11 in Martin County.

According to authorities, the victim’s semi-truck was southbound on Hwy. 11, east of U.S. Hwy. 14 and north of U.S. Hwy. 64, at the intersection with Council Rd. when the truck somehow left the roadway, struck a concrete culvert, and overturned.

Mr. Barocio suffered fatal injuries in the accident.

Authorities have not released the cause of the crash at this time.
