Killeen, TX — June 3, 2023, Daurick Romel Scott Jr. was killed and one person was injured in a car accident at 4:18 p.m. along Central Texas Expressway.
Preliminary details about the fatal accident show that it took place in the area of the East Central Texas Expressway and Rosewood Drive intersection.
According to officials, 23-year-old Daurick Scott Jr. and an unidentified woman were in a Dodge Challenger that was going eastbound on the expressway. At Rosewood, the Challenger and a Dodge Durango collided. This caused the Challenger to go off-road where it crashed into a pole. The Durango hit a nearby semi.
As a result of the collisions, Scott ultimately succumbed to the injuries he sustained in the crash. The woman in the Challenger reportedly had to be flown to a hospital due to critical injuries. No other injuries have been mentioned at this time. The factors surrounding the crash are still under investigation.
