Houston, TX — June 4, 2023, a man sustained fatal injuries due to a single-vehicle accident at around 12:25 a.m. on the Gulf Freeway.
Preliminary details about the crash indicate that it happened along the northbound lanes of I-45 in the area of Airport Boulevard, just off College Avenue.
According to Houston Police officials, the incident involved a man that was said to be behind the wheel of an Infiniti G37. That vehicle somehow lost control, causing it to leave the roadway. There, the vehicle crashed into the guardrail, then went airborne. After crashing to the ground, the vehicle caught fire.
Statements from officials say someone was able to get the victim out of the vehicle, but the man ultimately succumbed to fatal injuries due to the crash. No other injuries were reported. Currently, circumstances leading up to the crash are still under investigation. No further information can be confirmed.
