Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
Generally speaking, people are quick to jump to conclusions with train accidents and immediately blame the victim. No matter what, though, it’s important to consider all possibilities. For all we know, there was some kind of emergency, a defect with the victim’s vehicle, problems with the railroad crossing, etc.
At the end of the day, it’s not about saying “I told you so” or finding someone to blame. It’s about ensuring the victim’s loved ones have the answers they deserve. That’s why I hope authorities have been able to provide those answers behind the scenes. These current public details seem to be far from telling the whole story.
