Dallas County, TX — April 13, 2024, Dakota Hoover was injured in a motorcycle versus car accident shortly before 1:30 p.m. along North Shiloh Road.
According to authorities, 26-year-old Dakota Hoover was traveling on a northbound Kawasaki motorcycle on North Shiloh Road approaching the Fairdale Street intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a southbound GMC Sierra pickup truck with a trailer in tow attempted a left turn from Shiloh Road onto eastbound Fairdale Street at an apparently unsafe time, failing to yield the right of way to oncoming northbound traffic. This resulted in a collision between the front-end of the motorcycle and the front-right side of the trailer behind the pickup truck.
Hoover suffered reportedly severe but non life-threatening injuries as a result of the wreck. He was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive immediate treatment. No other injuries have been reported. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
