With a single-vehicle wreck like this, it’s always important to consider that authorities may not be giving the accident the attention it needs. Single-vehicle wrecks aren’t always seen as a high priority, so more complex factors can slip through the cracks. The vehicle may have had a defect. There may have been issues with the roadway. Drivers can be unlawfully over-served by alcohol providers. Tires blow out. Other drivers can cause a wreck, then leave the scene. I’ve handled countless single-vehicle accident cases over the years, and all of these are possibilities investigations must consider. Either they’ll be ruled out, or investigators can bring to light serious issues that authorities may have let slip through the cracks. I see no reason right now why this crash would be an exception.
