Additional details pertaining to this incident—including the identity of the victim—are not available at this point in time. I can only hope that’s not a sign that investigations aren’t being taken seriously. Frankly, a lot of accidents involving motorcyclists slip through the cracks because authorities sometimes just assume the rider must have been doing something wrong. Obviously, that’s possible, but this inevitably leads to people being blamed for things that were outside their control. Maybe that isn’t what happened here, but the victim isn’t around to tell their side of the story. It’s important that there is enough clear evidence to do that for them.
