UPDATE (May 9, 2024): The person who lost their life as a result of this accident has been identified as 53-year-old Cynthia Lynn Green, of Fort Worth, Texas.

Fort Worth, TX — April 30, 2024, one person was killed and another was injured in a single-car accident at around 12:45 a.m. along I.H. 35W.

According to authorities, two people were traveling in a vehicle on Interstate Highway 35W in the vicinity of S.H. 121 when the accident occurred.

The cause of the accident is still unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the vehicle lost control and crashed into a concrete barrier. Following that, it fell over the side of the overpass, coming to rest on a State Highway 121 ramp below.

One person sustained fatal injuries due to the wreck and was declared deceased at the scene. The second victim suffered injuries of unknown severity and was taken to a local medical facility for treatment. Their condition was reported to have been stable.
