Houston, TX — December 12, 2023, Crystal Chavez and a minor in a different vehicle were injured in a car accident around 7:49 p.m. on Crosstimber St. in Houston.
Reports indicate Ms. Chavez’s Hyundai Santa Fe Sport was eastbound on Crosstimber St. when a northbound Cadillac SRX reportedly failed to stop at a stop sign on Appleton St. and struck the Santa Fe Sport.
Officials say the Cadillac SRX’s driver-side front corner struck the Santa Fe Sport’s passenger-side front corner.
The Santa Fe Sport driver reportedly suffered serious injuries, the driver of the Cadillac SRX suffered minor injuries, and a minor that was sitting behind the driver in the Cadillac also suffered minor injuries.

It is always a red flag when a person is injured by a collision that happened on the opposite side of the vehicle from them. Hopefully, someone is looking into how the injuries ended up serious and if the Santa Fe Sport performed as expected.
