An investigation is underway into a car accident that left one person injured during the evening hours of September 29th. According to official reports, Cristian Funez-Lopez was travelling in a Chevy Cruze on Ed Bluestein Svrd in the southbound lanes, at the US 290 intersection, when a BMW coming from the east on US 290 failed to yield the right-of-way and struck Funez-Lopez.
As a result of the impact, both vehicles sustained significant damage. When first responders arrived on the scene, they found that Funez-Lopez had sustained serious injuries and transported him to the hospital. At this time there has been no further information released about the accident, including the status of Cristian’s injuries and whether any charges or citations will be filed.
