San Antonio, TX — July 8, 2024, Cristian Arizmendi Hernandez was injured due to a hit-and-run accident at around 9:38 p.m. along Loop 410.
According to initial details about the accident, it happened in the area of Ingram Road along southbound lanes of NW Loop 410.
Investigators said that 43-year-old Cristian Arizmendi Hernandez was in a Nissan going southbound on Loop 410. While doing so, a Ford F-150 reportedly crashed into the back of the Nissan. That driver then allegedly fled the scene but was apprehended.
Due to the accident, Cristian Hernandez sustained serious injuries. Authorities recommended the runaway driver be charged for collision involving serious injury. No further information about the accident is available at this time.

With any hit-and-run, it’s important investigators look into why the driver left the scene of the accident. More often than not, there was something specific they didn’t want authorities to know about. Did they have drugs? Warrants? Were they driving drunk? It could be there are other consequences to consider besides those related to the accident itself. At the end of the day, victims and families deserve to see accountability for those who harmed them. Hopefully those steps were taken here.
