Georgetown, TX — April 15, 2025, Crayvon Stripling was injured as the result of an alleged drunk driver accident at around 3:46 a.m. on I-35.
According to initial details about the accident, it happened along northbound lanes of the interstate near the Toll 130 split.
Investigators said that 29-year-old Crayvon Stripling was in a Mitsubishi Mirage traveling along the interstate. An Infiniti was also going northbound, and the driver was allegedly under the influence of alcohol. At some point, a collision occurred between the Infiniti and the Mitsubishi as well as a BMW.
Due to the accident, Crayvon Stripling was seriously injured. There were no other reported injuries. It’s unclear if any charges have been filed.

If it’s true that this crash involved a drunk driver, people may think that makes things open-and-shut. In reality, it can present unique challenges, as it raises questions about where that alcohol came from. If investigators find that a driver responsible for a crash was unlawfully over-served by a bar, for example, that bar could also be responsible for contributing to the accident.
Simply put, it’s unlawful in Texas for alcohol providers to serve people who are obviously intoxicated. Doing so can expose alcohol providers to consequences if it leads to people being hurt or killed. Not only can this give victims an opportunity to hold those alcohol providers accountable, but it also helps ensure those negligent establishments clean up their act before more people get hurt.
I’ve handled hundreds of alcohol-related accident cases. Sometimes, it all is just one person’s recklessness that led to the accident. A lot of the time, though, there’s a negligent alcohol provider that went completely overlooked by authorities who needs to be called out. That’s why there could still be more to this story even if the allegations prove to be true.
