Twin Falls County, ID — July 26, 2023, Clyde Schroeder was injured following a dump truck accident at around 11:30 a.m. along North 1500 East.
Authorities said in their initial statements that the crash happened along the 4300 block of N. 1500 East (Clear Lakes Road/Highway 46), which is just north of Buhl near E. 4300 North.
According to officials, 70-year-old Clyde Schroeder was in a Hyundai Tucson that was traveling southbound along Clear Lakes Road. While doing so, investigators believe an oncoming dump truck went left of center, crashing into Schroeder’s vehicle. After this, a tractor-trailer “contributed to the crash” by taking “a wide corner,” but further information isn’t clear right now.
As a result of the accident, Schroeder was taken to a hospital for treatment of apparently serious injuries. The dump truck driver had unspecified injuries. It appears citations were given to both the dump truck driver (for allegedly driving without privileges) and the tractor-trailer driver (for inattentive driving). Authorities have not given any additional details at this time.
