Winkler County, TX — May 31, 2026, Clayton Tedder was killed in a hit-and-run accident at about 11 p.m. on County Road 313 near Kermit.

Authorities said an unknown vehicle was heading south when it hit a pedestrian near mile marker 225 without stopping.

The pedestrian, 43-year-old Lubbock resident Clayton David Tedder, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, according to authorities.
