Denton County, TX — July 28, 2024, Clara Morales and another person were injured in a car accident at approximately 2:30 p.m. along South Colony Boulevard.
According to authorities, 53-year-old Clara Morales was traveling in a southbound Mercedes-Benz on F.M. 423, Main Street, at the South Colony Boulevard intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a westbound Toyota Camry occupied by a 45-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman on Colony Boulevard failed to heed the red light indicated by the traffic signal, entering the intersection at an apparently unsafe time. This resulted in a T-bone collision between the right side of the Camry and the front-end of the Mercedes-Benz.
Morales and the woman from the Camry suffered reportedly serious injuries as a result of the wreck; they were each transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
