Harris County, TX — July 2, 2023, a male child was killed and Ricardo Rodriguez was injured in a single-vehicle accident around 1:04 p.m. on W. Cedar Bayou Lynchburg Rd. in Harris County.
Officials report Ricardo Rodriguez was driving a white GMC Yukon with the child in the front passenger seat. The Yukon was reportedly westbound on W. Cedar Bayou Lynchburg Rd. when another vehicle allegedly turned in front of it in an attempt to travel east on the road.
Authorities believe Mr. Rodriguez attempted to go around this vehicle when the Yukon veered off the road to the southern side into a ditch. The Yukon then purportedly overturned onto its passenger side on top of a utility pole.
The minor was fatally injured. Officials have not released the extent of Mr. Rodriguez’s injuries.
