Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

It’s often easy for people to jump to conclusions following a car accident like this. Keep in mind, though, that initial details rarely tell the whole story. There could be unusual circumstances here which even authorities may not have caught on to yet. Did the vehicle any kind of defects? Was there tire failure? A medical emergency? Issues with visibility or with the roadway itself? Likely or not, investigations should be able to rule out the possibilities that could lead to the crash with clear evidence. Otherwise, any conclusions may as well be pure speculation. It remains to be seen if authorities were fair in their assessment of what happened here or if perhaps they overlooked something important.
