Dallas, TX — March 21, 2024, Catherine Kimmey was injured following a car accident at about 12:00 noon along the Lyndon B Johnson service road.
According to authorities, 62-year-old Catherine Kimmey was traveling in a southbound Toyota Corolla on Midway Road at the Lyndon B Johnson, I.H. 635, westbound service road when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for reasons yet to be confirmed, a northbound Mazda on Midway attempted a left turn onto the westbound service road at an apparently unsafe time, failing to yield the right of way to southbound traffic. This resulted in a collision between the front-left of the Corolla and the front-right side of the Mazda.
Kimmey suffered reportedly severe injuries as a result of the wreck. She was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
