Houston, TX — May 8, 2023, Carolina Vasquez, Crecencio Vasquez, and Maria Billauri Vasquez were injured in a car accident at 9:15 p.m. along Canal Street.
Preliminary information about the crash says that it happened in the area of the Canal Street and North Greenwood Street intersection.
Details at this time show that 43-year-old Carolina Vasquez, 73-year-old Crecencio Vasquez, 71-year-old Maria Billauri Vasquez, and one other person were in a Ford F-150 traveling westbound along Canal. At the Greenwood intersection, authorities say a southbound Chevy Avalanche failed to yield, crashing with the F-150.
As a result of the crash, Carolina Vasquez, Crecencio Vasquez, and Maria Billauri Vasquez had reportedly non-incapacitating injuries. The other occupant in the F-150 apparently had no injuries. The other driver apparently was not hurt, either. That driver allegedly left the scene of the accident, but it appears Harris County officials identified that driver and charged them for alleged failure to stop and render aid. No further information is available at this time.
