Right now, the exact factors leading up to the crash can’t be confirmed. That’s not too unusual with single-vehicle wrecks. They’re a lot more complex than folks may realize. In fact, even the authorities tend to overlook them as low priorities. That’s why they tend to miss important details when unusual factors contribute to these accidents.
Were there issues with the roadway? Was there missing signage or lighting? Did the driver suffer a medical emergency? Were they illegally over-served by a licensed alcohol provider? Did the vehicle have some kind of unforeseeable defect? Believe it or not, I’ve seen authorities ignore all of these questions on multiple occasions. Without independent investigations there to catch what they miss, victims and families end up having to look for alternative ways to get the answers they deserve. Maybe authorities here have been more thorough than that, but that would frankly be the exception.
